Our Home to Be!

This past Monday (June 23) we were in the midst of checking out the possibility of one particular house (actually the only house available in the area that currently has a wall around its property). Having a wall is important as it provides both privacy and protection. It is common for property here to be walled. Well, in God's goodness, WE HAVE THE KEYS!!!!!!! It turns out that Patrice (adopted son of Ms. Lynn and ministry leader of Shattering Darkness) knows the owner who went to school with his brother! Well, it is a small village. Even still, God so generously blessed us with the house that is now continuing to be prepared for us.

Yesterday, we traveled from Diebougou to Ouaga for a several day stay (to make house and food purchases, etc.). One thing Tracy is finding a bit challenging is trying to shop for 3 months! Once we make the 6 or so hour trip back to Diebougou (probably sometime early next week), we will probably not be returning to the capital until September.

As I said in an earlier blog, most anything one could want or need can be found in Ouaga. We just have to get what we need for the next few months and bring it all back down with us. A number of basics (and some really good fresh bread!) can be found in our new home town, but variety is understandably limited (especially compared to what a city like Ouaga provides). Today (Friday) and tomorrow, we will be making our Sam's-Club-sized shopping trip to a very NICE grocery store here. ...And yes, we praise God that they have a really, REALLY nice McDonald's-style play area for the kids on the 3rd floor!!! (We posted some pics of it in a week or so ago.) Please pray for wisdom for Tracy as she will probably be doing most of the shopping while I watch the kiddos.

THANK YOU! WE LOVE YOU!!!
