Since being here, we have been challenged by the heat, the language, the water precautions… But these challenges have been minor. We are so thankful to say that thus far, our girls have done AMAZINGLY WELL during this time of initial adjustment. It has helped a lot that Ms. Lynn’s youngest grandson (nearly the same age as Maleah) has been with us most of the time since we arrived. They get on great, and he has done a wonderful job of taking care of them and helping them when they need help. This is the first time I have really seen Grace play with someone other than her sister.
We realize that hard times lie ahead, but we are praising God for His kindness and goodness and love for us as shown to us these past few days. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS! We are excited about learning French and are learning new things every day. At the end of this week, I believe we will be heading to Diebougou to go check out housing for our family. Our time in Ouaga, it appears, is going to be even shorter than we last expected. God knows, and time will tell. His plan is SOOOO much better than our own!
Please continue to pray for protection from sickness. Thus far we have been spared (though I realize that part of the adjustment is our bodies having to process new germs, etc.).
Please continue
to pray for blessed and growing relationships between us and the ministry team
here.
Please pray
especially that we grow closer to the Lord each day!!! We want our fruit to be
a testimony of Christ’s Life in us.
Please pray for
favor and God’s placement concerning a house.
And, finally,
please pray that God will help us to soon adjust from the city here to our real
home in the village of Diebougou. (Dee-eh-boo-goo).
THANK YOU!!! WE
LOVE YOU and plan to keep you informed!!! Thank you for your support, interest,
