Summer Ministry & Continued Preparation

Greetings ALL!

This summer we have had several really great opportunities to share God's call on our family to Shattering Darkness, Inc. and Burkina Faso, West Africa. In June, we were guest missionaries at a VBS. It was a blast! After sharing briefly our stories, we invited the children to go on a trip with us to Burkina Faso and handed out tickets for their flight. It was so much fun. A couple weeks ago (in July), we were a part of FBC Brandon's VBS and took the 4 and 5 year olds on the same journey!

In June, we also were given the opportunity to speak with a WOM (Women On Mission: WMU) group in our home church here in Brandon. At the end of the meeting, they gave us a number of homeschooling supplies for the girls' coming two years in Burkina! They were so generous and such a blessing to us. It was a joy to share with them.

As the summer swings into full gear, so do the coming weeks for us. I have been given opportunity to fill-in as Minister of Music at our home church here in Brandon for two Sundays this month. We will be sharing at our family's church in Pearl this coming Wednesday. The weekend of the 20th-21st, we will be back in the Vivian, LA area sharing our stories and calling with a church in Texas and in Oil City. The last week of July, we will be Skyped into a VBS at a church in the greater New Orleans area. Then, if all works out, we will be making the sojourn up north to visit with family, friends, and churches through the 3rd week of August. After we get back, Lord willing, we will be speaking at churches regularly and continuing to prepare in earnest for the work that lies ahead for us in Burkina Faso.

We love y'all and are so thankful for your love, prayers, and support as God continues to prepare us for a 2-year commitment with Shattering Darkness, Inc. in Burkina Faso, West Africa! THANK YOU!!!
